Ralph Cutié oversees operations at Miami International Airport (MIA) and four general aviation airports, generating $31.9bn in business revenue and supporting over 275,000 jobs. MIA is one of America’s busiest international airports, handling over 46m passengers and 2m tons of cargo annually.
Previously, Ralph served as Assistant Director for Facilities Management & Engineering, overseeing over 440 employees, an annual operating budget of nearly $123m and a reserve maintenance budget of $30m.
Ralph has more than 35 years’ experience in project control, critical path method (CPM) scheduling, project management, construction contracting and construction claims administration. He began his County career in 1990 with the Miami-Dade Transit (MDT) Dept. as a Cost & Scheduling Specialist, advanced to Manager of the Engineering Cost & Scheduling Section, then to Chief of the Project Control Division. Ralph worked on many significant projects including: the $248m Metromover Extension, the $88m Metrorail Extension to the Palmetto Expressway and the $106m Busway Extension to Florida City. In 2006, Ralph transitioned to the Office of Capital Improvements (OCI) to manage Project Scheduling & Compliance for the County’s $2.9bn Building Better Communities – General Obligation Bond (BBC-GOB) Program, and the County’s successful Economic Stimulus Plan (ESP), Miscellaneous Construction Contract (MCC) and Construction Manager (CM) Training programs. In 2011, Ralph served as Manager of Project Scheduling & Compliance in ISD’s Design & Construction Services Division, where he was involved in numerous large ISD projects while continuing to manage the County’s ESP, MCC and CM Training programs. During this tenure, he also collaborated with the County Attorney’s Office and capital departments to develop the Standard Construction Contract, which was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners as the standard for all non-MCC construction projects countywide.
