Selvyn Hawkins joined the Board of Directors for the Turks and Caicos Islands Airports Authority (‘TCIAA’) as its Chairman in September 2021 and was appointed as its Executive Chairman on 1st February 2022, working collaboratively with the TCIAA’s CEO to bring about organisational operations and culture change. In his role, Selvyn also acts as the primary liaison between the Turks and Caicos Islands Government, TCIAA and Industry Stakeholders and a key project officer in the redevelopment of the Howard Hamilton International Airport (Providenciales) for which a Public Private Partnership financing option is currently being considered. The TCIAA is also simultaneously constructing a new soon to be opened international airport in South Caicos, extensively renovating the JAGS McCartney International Airport in Grand Turk, and is currently undergoing design works for a new airport on the island of North Caicos where a further private partnership arrangement is being developed.

Selvyn is admitted as an Attorney-at-Law in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and is qualified as a Barrister in England and Wales. Prior to joining the TCIAA he practiced law with the firm Misick & Stanbrook and served two terms as President of the Bar Council of the Turks and Caicos Islands.
